Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

Wayfield is used at loading docks, on cracked phone screens, in bad light, by people who are in a hurry. Building it to be readable and operable is not a compliance exercise here, it is the same work as building it to be usable at all.

Target

WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Status

Public pages measured and passing. Signed-in screens not yet measured.

What we are aiming at

Wayfield targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the level most commonly written into procurement requirements and referenced by accessibility law in the US, Canada and the EU, and it is the level we hold ourselves to whether or not a customer asks.

What has been measured

Every public page on this site is checked automatically against the WCAG 2.0 A/AA and WCAG 2.1 A/AA rule sets using axe-core, driven through a real browser at desktop width. That covers the home, platform, pricing, company, contact, privacy and sign-in pages.

As of the date above, those pages report zero violations. The check runs as part of the test suite rather than by hand, so a change that introduces a violation fails the build rather than waiting to be noticed.

What has not been measured

The signed-in product - the dispatch board, the driver run sheet, the capture flow and the shared proof-of-delivery page - has not yet been through the same automated audit, because reaching those screens requires a seeded test account. That work is planned.

Automated testing also has a ceiling. It reliably catches contrast, missing labels, heading order and landmark problems. It does not judge whether a flow can actually be completed with a keyboard or a screen reader end to end. Where we have tested those by hand we say so; we have not yet tested the full driver capture flow that way.

Known limitations

Signature capture requires drawing on a touch surface. There is no equivalent non-drawing path today, which means the signature step itself is not operable by keyboard alone. A consignee signature is a physical act, and we have not found a way to keep the evidentiary value of one without it. If this blocks you, contact us and we will work out an alternative for your fleet rather than leave you without a route.

The site uses smooth scrolling. It respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting, so turning motion down in your operating system turns it off here.

Telling us something is wrong

If any part of Wayfield is hard or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it, and we would rather hear about it early and informally than not at all. Tell us the page, the device and what happened, and a person reads it.
