Terms of service.
These terms cover the Wayfield website and the Wayfield product. They are written to be read, and they say the same thing the pricing page and the privacy policy already say. Where your signed agreement with us differs, the signed agreement wins.

Who these terms are between
Wayfield is provided by Wayfield Technologies Inc., operated from British Columbia, Canada ("Wayfield", "we"). The terms apply to the carrier or business that holds a Wayfield account ("you"), and to everyone that carrier adds to it, such as dispatchers and drivers. If you accept these terms for a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.
Accounts and access
Accounts are set up by us, one carrier at a time. There is no self-serve sign-up. You decide who in your fleet gets a login and what role they have, and you are responsible for what is done under the logins you create. Keep credentials to the person they belong to, and tell us promptly if you think one has been misused.
Do not use Wayfield to break the law, to record deliveries you were not part of, to probe or attack the service or other fleets' accounts, or to resell access without our written agreement.
Your records
The delivery records, signatures, photographs and documents your fleet creates are yours. We hold and serve them so you can use them, and we do not use them for anything of our own. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected and who can see it.
A sealed record cannot be edited, by you or by us. That is the point of a proof of delivery. Corrections are recorded beside the original and a wrong record can be voided, but the original stays as it was signed. By using Wayfield you accept that limitation.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what your fleet records and for deciding how long your records must be kept under the rules that apply to you.
Pricing and billing
Current prices are on the pricing page. We agree terms with each carrier directly and bill by invoice. There is no card on file and nothing renews or charges on its own. If a price is going to change for an existing account, we will tell you before it applies, and it will not apply to a period you have already been invoiced for.
Invoices are due on the terms written on them. If one goes unpaid, we will contact you before we restrict anything.
Cancelling
You can stop at any time by emailing us. There is no notice period and no cancellation flow. Before the account closes we give you a complete export of your documents and records, and on request we delete the account in full within 30 days and confirm in writing when it is done.
We can close an account that is being used in breach of these terms. Unless the misuse is putting other customers or the service at risk, we will warn you first and give you the same export.
The service
We work to keep Wayfield available and your records safe, and we fix problems as quickly as we can. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or improve features over time. If we remove something you rely on, we will tell you in advance.
Features described as on the roadmap are plans, not commitments, and are not part of what you are paying for until they ship.
Responsibility and its limits
Wayfield is a documentation tool. It records what happened at a delivery; it does not decide who is at fault in a claim, and it is not legal, insurance or compliance advice.
To the extent the law allows, Wayfield is provided as is, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we ever disagree, we will try to sort it out by talking first.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders directly before a change that affects them takes effect. Continuing to use Wayfield after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can cancel as described above.
